Southwest Missouri Emergency Support Organization (SMESO) is a group of representatives from county and city emergency management offices,
volunteer organizations and state and federal agencies committed to building stronger emergency management organizations through the
sharing of ideas, knowledge, education and resources. |

SMESO serves 18 southwest Missouri counties
in the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Region D
coverage area.
In addition, SMESO coordinates
efforts as necessary with emergency services
personnel in the three bordering states of
Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. |
